OHCE OPENS WITH EDUCATION SESSIONS, DONATIONS AND PUPPIES!
Tuesday saw the Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) get rolling with a
jam-packed day of educations sessions, the debut of the Membership Luncheon, puppy cuddling and a night of fantastic networking. The day opened with an entertaining and illuminating session by Kyle Sanders of SEEK More Solutions, featuring a contest between two teams designed to spark discussion about teamwork and communication.

Paws for a Break, sponsored by Jamestown Advanced Products, was the hit of the day for many attendees, who took a break from education sessions to recharge and
enjoy a few snuggles from puppies up for adoption,

Wednesday at OHCE2019 features more education sessions, including some very special presentations, panels and our Keynote Lunch. The day also features
Town Hall and Area Voting Caucuses and the opening of the Expo,
where OHCE attendees and vendors get down to business!

Trends and Insights Presentation : Ballroom E, 8:00 am - 9:00 am
The campground industry is thriving as younger generations and new demographics are being drawn to the outdoors. With insights drawn from the 2019 North American Camping Report, Toby O’Rourke, president and CEO of KOA, Inc., will focus this session on the trends driving camping and travel, to discuss how campgrounds can attract and retain these new legions of campers.

Keynote Lunch: Stop Acting Your Age! An Entertaining Keynote to Help You Avoid Generational Warfare : Ballroom E, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Matt Havens brings more than a decade of experience at the forefront of leadership and generational issues for a Fortune 50 company, but spices things up with a background in standup comedy. During his OHCE keynote you will learn how to understand, recognize and resolve every generational issue facing today’s workforce.
 
Paws for a Break: 10:30 am - 2 pm
ARVC and Jamestown Advanced Products have united to bring an interactive dog run into the Knoxville Convention Center, promising to give attendees at OHCE the chance to “Paws for a Break” and cuddle with dogs from local no-kill animal shelters. Come by and relax by say hello to some four-legged friends.
 
Reservation System Panel and Q&A: Ballroom E, 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Do you have questions about reservations systems? Which is right for you? Do you have the right reservation system to meet the needs of your business and guests? Which is the right reservation system to help you meet new trends in pricing, booking, and guest satisfaction? Well, ARVC has taken the guess work out of the process, and back by popular demand, we’ve assembled all the major reservation system providers in one place. Bring your questions to this interactive session that takes place shortly before the opening of the Expo hall.

Town Hall and Area Voting Caucuses: 4:45 - 5:45 p.m.
Need support or just have a question about ARVC? Your park is represented on the Board of Directors by area representatives, and these sessions are your time to meet with them face to face. Hear how your current area representatives are serving as your voice and share your thoughts and ideas on how ARVC can better support you!

*NOTE: Areas 1 and 5 will be voting for area representative seats. If you did not vote online, you will have the opportunity to vote at your town hall meeting.

Before the Expo officially opens this year, ARVC is hosting a short reception to give everyone a little extra networking time. Show up early before the Expo opens for food, drink and socializing with this year’s Title and Expo Sponsors and then hit the ground running at this year’s Expo!
