Your ASA President Says...

Hello All,

Here we are, rolling into the final quarter of “2020” and like myself, I am sure many are glad it is coming to an end. It has been a difficult year for everyone, businesses closing, opening, closing, reductions in staff, reduced hours etc….

This has also been a very trying time for us at the ASA, we depend so much on our supporters as a “Non-Profit” organization, and with the social side of life being shut down it has taken a toll. I would truly like to thank all those who came out to show support for a slightly delayed “Spring Fling Golf Tournament”, For what we could do, I feel it was a huge success. Also, thank you to all the companies and individuals that have stood with us during these times.

Moving forward with high hopes, we are looking forward to seeing a positive turn for this final quarter, and the years to come. It will be good to get things back to normal, or at least as normal as they can be, and start seeing all of you again at our events.

Mechanic's Lien Condition Precedent

This policy shall not apply to "bodily injury", "property damage", "personal injury", or "advertising injury" arising out of work performed by an insured or on any insured's behalf, when alleged following the insured's filing of a mechanic's lien in connection with said work, unless the following conditions precedent are fully satisfied by the insured:

The insured must notify the Company in writing, within thirty (30) calendar days of filing a Mechanic's Lien for work performed during the policy period; and
The insured must notify the Company in writing, within thirty (30) calendar days of any correspondence it sends or receives relating to the filing, resolution, or dispute of a Mechanic's Lien for work performed during the policy period.

For purposes of this endorsement, the phrase "alleged following the insured's filing a mechanic's lien" shall refer to a subsequent lawsuit filed by the property owner, or any developer or contractor for which the insured performed any work, against the insured for faulty or defective work.

Except as set forth above, all of the terms, conditions and exclusions of this policy apply and remain in effect .
