Strategies to Boost Negotiation Success: A New Take
on How to Get What you Want
Thursday, September 29, 2022 (virtual event)
12pm to 1:15pm PST -- Presentation and Discussion
1:15pm to 1:45pm PST -- Networking (with breakout rooms)
Presentation
One of the most valuable skills that a consultant can learn is to be a great negotiator. Negotiation is something we all do every day, often without realizing it – and does not just involve fee discussions with clients or salary negotiations with employers – it often includes interactions in meetings and calls, as well as informal discussions.
Our session featuring Kim Miller-Hershon will focus on understanding the steps to successful negotiating – and we will then add an additional layer by understanding and using behavioral styles to boost success rates. You will also get a chance to practice your skills, making our time together even more relevant. Kim will also provide perspective on certain differences in negotiating styles between women and men.
Background on Kim Miller-Hershon
Kim Miller-Hershon is an international speaker, trainer and coach. She helps teams and individuals with productivity, management and leadership so they can get to the next level and have more of what they want.
She is certified in DISC, passionate about customizing solutions, and putting the client’s needs first. Kim has successfully worked with hundreds of clients and they call her “The Queen of Productivity”.

Everything you wanted to know about Wine....Fast!
Live Webinar with Bill Edgerton
In under an hour Bill Edgerton will tell us the key things we need to know to understand wine, show us how to choose wines in a restaurant or retail store, and cover the basics you need to know to properly enjoy wine. He has appraised wine and sprits for 34 years and will share some of the more unusual appraisal assignments in his past.
There will be lots of time for questions!
Background on Bill Edgerton
Originally headed for a career in architecture, Bill Edgerton has had a varied career within ASA, which he joined in 1967. He appraised and later sold commercial real estate, and, additionally, as a person with many interests, also headed an antiques business that specialized in mechanical musical instruments. A long-time wine collector, in 1985, Bill was surprised when attempting to have his collection appraised that there was no source for/of comparable sales. This did not stop Bill, who created a highly regarded source/guide which he published in annual editions until 2000, when it was sold. Now available digitally, it now includes more than 1 million entries. Known throughout the world for his expertise in the field of wine, Bill, whose first forensic wine analysis was done in 1998, is one of a handful of specialists qualified to identify fake bottles. His firm specializes in complicated wine appraisals for all matters, including those for insurance coverage, loss and matrimonial issues.
