Practicing to the top of your license
Jump into scope discussions with new tools
Scope of practice determinations should always be guided by health care professionals’ education, clinical training and competency testing. Already seeing the next round of proposed scope expansions on the horizon, the CMS policy and advocacy team developed a toolkit all members can use to advocate for thoughtful approaches to scope of practice that holds patient safety paramount.

Join the effort! Each section includes data, fact sheets, sample letters and digital graphics to share by email and social media. Explore the toolkit and use it in your discussions with policymakers.

Spread the word: State to provide rapid at-home tests at no cost

Colorado is distributing free rapid COVID-19 over the counter (OTC) self tests directly to people’s homes. The program uses Abbott BinaxNOW™ rapid antigen tests that show results within 15 minutes. The program has been specifically designed to provide parents, guardians, and caregivers some peace of mind by making it easy to test school-aged children and help keep schools open. Individuals must apply through the CDPHE rapid at-home testing program website. Share this widely with your patients.
