Vaccine Access for
Colorado Medical Society Physicians
Have you and your team had the chance to schedule your COVID-19 vaccine?
CMS announced on Friday a new partnership with Children's Hospital Colorado and CDPHE that is ready to vaccinate YOU and YOUR team.

How does this work?
Complete this form and you will be contacted by Children's Hospital Colorado to schedule an appointment.

Where will I be vaccinated?
Vaccinations are occurring at the Aurora and Colorado Springs locations. Physicians and their staff do not have to be residents of these areas.

How do I know I will be scheduled?
The Colorado Medical Society is championing efforts to get our physicians and their teams vaccinated and was able to secure this new opportunity through this new partnership with Children's Hospital Colorado and CDPHE.
Don’t forget to renew for 2021.
Your membership is more important than ever!

Where to Find Naloxone...

Do your patients know where they can get naloxone (also known as Narcan)?

Since 2015, Coloradans have been able to buy naloxone from participating pharmacies without getting a prescription. More than 500 pharmacies in Colorado carry naloxone, and you can find those pharmacies on the Stop the Clock Colorado or OpiRescue.

More resources are available here.

Do you have vaccine hesitant staff?

The decision by a health care employer to institute a policy requiring employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine is a complicated one. There are both legal and practical considerations. Overall, employers are permitted to require employees to be vaccinated, but there are exceptions and conditions that must be met.

President Biden Issues Executive Orders
On his first day in office, President Biden issued a series of Executive Orders (EOs), a number of which are related to health and health care. January 20’s EOs include rejoining the World Health Organization, a 100 day mask requirement in federal facilities and interstate travel, and a whole of government response to COVID-19. In the coming days and weeks, we expect to see further actions on a number of important issues, including COVID-19, the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and Title X. A fact sheet about January 20’s EOs is available here.
