Mobile Automotive Repair Dealer (ARD) Regulations in Effect
The Bureau of Automotive Repair has announced the adoption of regulations regarding mobile automotive repair were adopted and went into effect earlier this month.
The adopted regulations define "mobile automotive repair" and establish registration, advertising and other requirements for automotive repair dealers (ARD's) performing mobile automotive repairs. The regulation is an effort by the BAR to make it easier for consumers to determine whether an entity performing mobile automotive repairs is registered with the Bureau and to access the entity's disciplinary history. The regulations will also improve the Bureau's ability to identify and bring enforcement actions against entities performing mobile automotive repairs that may be in violation of the Automotive Repair Act.
