The new BAR Windshield replacement regulations will take effect on January 1, 2017.  The regulations were passed in order to deal with problems associated with consumers injured in accidents (ejected through the vehicle windshield) due to improper installation.

What's A "Drive-By Lawsuit"?
"Drive-by" and "shakedown" are terms often used to describe lawsuits filed under the Americans with Disability Act. ADA lawsuits have been a problem across the country for decades, but in recent months we've seen a significant increase in lawsuits targeting small businesses. From California to Arizona to Texas to Florida, small business owners have been hit with expensive and often frivolous lawsuits, sometimes from plaintiffs who never even step foot in the business.

Woodland, CA - December 1, 2016 - Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig, along  with 50 other California District Attorneys, announced today that Alameda County  Superior Court Judge Seligman has ordered the Missouri-based O'Reilly Auto Parts to  pay $9.86 million as part of a settlement of a civil environmental prosecution. The  District Attorneys alleged O'Reilly mishandled hazardous waste.
