Joint Letter RE: Proposed Labor Code Section 238.6 - Revocation of License
Dear Assemblymember Cooper:
On behalf of the above respective organizations, we are writing to express concerns and opposition to the proposed addition of Labor Code Section 238.6. The proposal would allow the Labor Commissioner through the Bureau of Automotive Repair to revoke or suspend an Automotive Repair Dealer's license for failure to pay a wage order judgment due an employee.

BAR Deputy Chief Appointment
A message from Patrick Dorais, Chief, Bureau of Automotive Repair.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Clay Leek as the Bureau's new Deputy Chief of the Smog Check, Engineering, and Information Services Division. Clay currently manages BAR's Technology Services Branch and serves as Project Manager over the Smog Check Program's Vehicle Inspection System Transition (Cal-VISTA) Project.
Clay has more than 15 years of management experience and has led a variety of high-profile State projects as a private consultant working for Insight Technologies. In addition, Clay has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems and a Certificate in Information Technology Management.
