ASCCA Members Join Efforts to Help Victims of the California Wild Fires

SACRAMENTO - As communities throughout Sonoma, Napa, and other Northern California counties begin the long process of rebuilding after the devastating wildfires, the Automotive Service Councils of California has identified four of our members who have tragically lost their homes.

In response, ASCCA's Executive Committee established the ASCCA California Wildfire Relief Fund. Thanks to their generous support, and the contributions of ASCCA members across California, the fund has raised $17,000. ASCCA President David Kusa stated, "I am honored and humbled to be part of an association and industry that has shown so much support, both time and treasure, for our fellow shop owners that need help."

Featured Remarkable Results Radio Podcast - Brian Bates from Eagle Automotive

Brian Bates bought the neighborhood shop in Columbine Hills in 2004. It was his way to serve the community by providing quality repairs and service while also living out his dream of running his own business.

After serving 4 years in the Army, Brian returned home to earn his business degree in the search of ultimately running his own business. While working at a Honda dealership for an average of 60 hours per week, Brian attended Metro State University of Denver at night, full-time, with the support of his wife Rhondi who was a full-time mother of Adam and Kiersten. Five years of hard work and studying paid off in 2000 when Brian earned a 4-year Business Management degree becoming the first generation in his family to attend college.
ASCCA Launches New Membership Liaison Program

ASCCA is proud to officially announce the launch of its 2017 Membership Liaison Program. This door-to-door membership recruitment program was proposed by ASCCA's Membership Committee, and approved by the Board of Directors earlier this year.

In addition to supporting the Membership Committee's 2017 100-Plus goal of recruiting 100 new members, the purpose of this new endeavor is to gain and retain new members by cultivating relationships by emphasizing ASCCA membership value, advocacy efforts, and to provide business resources.

All potential Liaisons must meet certain minimum requirements, and fill out an online application and survey form. For compensation details, as well as information on who is eligible to become an ASCCA Liaison, please click here.
