Greetings ASCCA Members, Partners and Educators,
I just arrived in Las Vegas to attend the AAPEX/SEMA show! I will be attending the event the entire week and I’m looking forward to visiting with all of you who are present. Rocky Khamenian and I will be visiting the vendor booths to talk with our partners. Keep an eye on the ASCCA Facebook page and ASCCA.com for videos of our visits.
I have some updates regarding member benefits to share. The Board of Directors and volunteer leadership continue to work to identify new membership benefits that:
1) enhance the value of membership, and 2) provide members with choice. Considering these two key elements, the Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the membership to no longer enter into exclusive agreements with any of our Corporate Partners. A new selection process is being developed to assist the association with due diligence when selecting new Corporate Partners, to ensure that they are reputable and provide value to our members. Additionally, we are excited to announce that a new 401k program will be launched soon that will provide members an opportunity to have a structured retirement program for their employees with relative ease. The 401k program will help our members stay in compliance with new California laws.
Some of our long-term projects are becoming a reality! We are almost ready to implement new association management software that will integrate with the website to allow for online payment of dues, better registration processing, etc. We are lucky to have AMG leading the way to help us with this implementation process. Gloria and her team are working on migrating the data from the current database to our new software. I know all of you will benefit from this exciting change, especially at the Chapter level.
Remember to register for our upcoming November Team Weekend at ASCCA.com. This event is being presented in person at the Holiday Inn Sacramento, Downtown Arena November 20-21,2021. In addition to our informative committee meetings and Board of Directors meeting, we will have great leadership & orientation training. Activities will also be available via Zoom for those who can’t make it to Sacramento. The Zoom link will be included in the Team Weekend Book which will be available on November 12th!
We are focusing on our strategic goal setting which will help to prepare all of us for a prosperous 2022!
Sincerely,
Rory Balmer
