ASCCA September Team Weekend Recap

This past weekend, ASCCA leaders, members, corporate partners, and guests gathered in Southern California for a special three-day Team Weekend.

ASCCA Degree Program-An Education Pathway

The meeting began Friday at Cuyamaca College for a special event marking the launch of the ASCCA Degree Program-An Education Pathway. The event marked the culmination of years of hard work by San Diego's Chapter 24 to establish an ASCCA automotive training degree, which will not only help students looking for a career in independent automotive repair, but ASCCA members looking for new techs to work in their shops.

NBC San Diego: Auto Mechanic Shortage Leads Cuyamaca College To Add New Degree

The ASCCA's new degree program was featured on NBC San Diego recently:

The Automotive Service Councils of California Associate of Science Degree program is the first of its kind in California. Cuyamaca College is adding a new associates degree that partners with local, independent repair shops to address a shortage of qualified auto mechanics.
