AB 1274, legislation that would extend the exemption for performing vehicle smog check inspection from 6 to 8 years has passed the Legislature, and is now sitting on Governor Brown's desk. AB 1274 is anti-consumer; anti-environment; anti-worker and anti-small business, and we need your help to stop it!

ASCCA September Team Weekend Recap
This weekend, over 50 ASCCA leaders, members, and corporate partners met in sunny Southern California for their September Team Weekend.
Dave Kusa kicked off the meeting with a new tradition - welcoming new ASCCA members to Team Weekend for an induction ceremony. Since January 1, ASCCA has gained 44 new members, and new member Dave Rogers of SC Fuels was present to receive his induction.
The score is 100 SoCal to 62 NorCal as of Monday September 18.
Don't forget what is at stake in this contest. In addition to the winning region will getting served ice cream by the losing region at November's Team Weekend, the chapters with the highest participation rate will receive special prizes to raffle off between their members that participated in the contest.
We still have a bonus point opportunity for sending in a second entry with a different insert from your first entry. That is worth another point until October 31st.
