Chapter Events

Many of our Members believe that the best benefit of this association is each other. Members like to meet up at Chapter activities and meetings locally.

Your Chapter will be featured here, too…just send us your posts by the 25th of the month and it will be listed in the next monthly newsletter.

We also would like to share the outcomes of these meetings. Send us your photos and your short blurb on what happened at your last meeting. We’ll post here, too.

For instance, here’s what went on in Chapter 5 (Foothill, San Gabriel & San Fernando Valleys) on August 5, in Chapter 12 (West Los Angeles) on August 20, in Chapter 28 (Santa Rosa) on August 20, and in Chapter 48 (North Orange County).

ASCCA Foothill, Chapter 5, San Gabriel & San Fernando Valleys, August 5, Mijares Mexican Restaurant, Pasadena - 3 Experts Show Tips, Tricks and Benefits to Make Your Company Run Smother, Have Less Stress, and Save Dollars

Presenters shared strategies for lowering liability and workers’ compensation insurance costs; highlighted how shops can receive an annual $350 rebate while securing better service and lower rates on credit card processing—plus ensuring equipment compliance with current laws; and explained how to provide employees with disability benefits at no cost to the employer while also saving on payroll taxes. Alongside these valuable insights, we welcomed our newest member, Robert Flores of RepWorks Marketing, and celebrated Kirk Haslam with a lifetime membership in recognition of his “above and beyond” service to the Chapter. As always, the best part of the evening was networking—shop owners helping shop owners. The event underscored our ongoing commitment to supporting one another and building stronger, more successful businesses together.

ASCCA West Los Angeles, Chapter 12, August 20, Marina del Rey, Del Rey Yacht Club - Owners’ Forum

On August 20, ASCCA West Los Angeles hosted its Owners’ Forum at the beautiful Del Rey Yacht Club. The setting was elegant, the staff’s service was impeccable, and the atmosphere encouraged open, collaborative conversation among shop owners. The evening began with a lively networking hour, sponsored by WORLDPAC, who also donated generous door prizes along with UnderCar Plus. Facilitator John Eppstein, owner of 4 locations in San Diego, John’s Automotive Care, led participants through six major focus areas, each designed to spark reflection and practical ideas. ASCCA members took part in a hands-on exercise using a discussion and shop assessment guide as a takeaway that encouraged owners to reflect on their businesses, marking areas where they felt confident and those needing improvement, while also noting personal takeaways. To keep the resource relevant, index cards were placed on each table for participants to suggest additional questions. Organizers said the feedback will help refine the guide into a practical tool for ongoing self-evaluation and discussion at future meetings. Learn more here

ASCCA Santa Rosa, Chapter 28, August 20, Tillett’s Auto Repair Santa Rosa - Membership Drive & Vendor Fair

ASCCA Santa Rosa hosted its annual Vendor Fair and drew a strong turnout of members, vendors, and guests. The evening featured keynote speaker Dave Kusa, ASCCA State President, who covered a wide range of topics relevant to shop owners and industry professionals. Attendees also enjoyed dinner generously sponsored by Autovitals. Participating vendors included Armstrong Insurance, Employer Services, BG Products, Tekmetric, O’Reilly Auto Parts, and NAPA Auto Parts. In addition to sharing valuable information and resources, vendors provided raffle prizes that added excitement to the evening. The event was held at Tillett’s, and the Chapter 28 board members were recognized for their efforts in organizing and supporting the fair. Conversations continued long after the formal program, as attendees connected with vendors and fellow shop owners. Perhaps the biggest success of the night was the growth in membership—Chapter 28 is set to welcome two new members as a result of the event so watch for the announcement!

ASCCA North Orange County, Chapter 48, August 20

ASCCA North Orange County’s meeting on August 20 was an intro to a two-parter that they’ll be doing in the fall of 2025. North Orange County is also seeing growth in membership—Chapter 48 is welcoming two new businesses as Members because of their recruitment efforts! Welcome!
