Citation and Remedial Training Programs
for Automotive Repair Dealers
| |
Pursuant to Assembly Bill 471 (Low, Chapter 372, Statutes of 2021), BAR adopted regulations on May 31, 2023, implementing citation and remedial training programs for automotive repair dealers, effective July 1, 2023. Under the programs, an automotive repair dealer who receives a citation for violations of the Automotive Repair Act may file an appeal to have the citation considered by a three-member citation review panel (composed of one representative each from BAR, the public, and the automotive repair industry). Additionally, an automotive repair dealer cited for violations deemed minor in nature may, once every 18 months and until July 1, 2026, complete remedial training by a BAR-certified remedial training provider to prevent disclosure of the citation on BAR’s website.

ASCCA Committees Seek Your Help | |
ASCCA committees are seeking volunteers. Involvement can be at varying levels of time commitment, comfort level and responsibility. Simply reach out to committee leaders and let them know more about your interest, talent and available time commitment and they will match you up with ways you can help.
ASCCA committee volunteers have one thing in common, they agree that by volunteering they received more than they give in the way of both personal and professional growth.

Guidelines for Website Accessibility
| |
ADA website compliance and web accessibility are two terms that are used interchangeably but they are distinct from one another.
ADA stands for the Americans with Disabilities Act which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability. Courts are construing Title III of the ADA to mean that websites must be accessible. Thus, with ADA website compliance, we're referring to the law.
