The Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI), located in Pueblo, is an organization subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads, that was established to support the development and deployment of innovative technologies to increase reliability, safety and efficiency of the railroad industry. Ms. Anna M. Rakoczy is a Principal Investigator at TTCI, where she currently researches the extension of service life of railway bridges using reliability-based criteria. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from University of Nebraska - Lincoln, and M.S. degrees from University of Technology in Poland. She has over 10 years of research and academic experience. Dr. Rakoczy is currently a member of the TRB Standing Committee on Steel Bridges, a member of AREMA Committee 15 and ASCE.

The ASCE So-Co Branch seeks nominations for its Board of Directors for the term beginning October 1, 2020 and ending on September 31, 2021. The following Board of Director positions are open for nominations:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary (2-year term)

To be considered for nomination, all candidates must send a headshot, a brief biography, and a statement outlining their goals for the chosen position to pastpresident@asce-scbranch.org by August 1, 2020.

The Nominating Committee will publish a final slate of candidates for electronic vote by the ASCE-SoCo General Membership August 2 through August 31, 2020. The elected officers will be introduced at the September, 2018 General Membership meeting.
