ASL Songs, Signs & Stories for Back to School
Kids are heading back to school, so we put together a collection of fun ASL videos that teach songs, signs, and stories about starting school and making new friends.
New Film First with Burned-In Captions
A new film about a Deaf family, CODA, has won awards and set records. It's also the first feature film to include burned-in captions for deaf and hard of hearing moviegoers!
Advocacy App
Do you attend IEP meetings or 504 meetings? ASDC, NAD, Gallaudet, and Hands & Voices created an app that will guide you through important school meetings so you can effectively advocate for the opportunities your child deserves.
Career Showcase
The STEAM Career Showcase for Students with Disabilities is a free virtual event for students in grades 6–12. It's an opportunity to connect with role models with disabilities who have thriving careers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM).
DeafBlind Resources: Early Communication
Children typically learn how to communicate when they observe, interact, and begin to mimic the behaviors of others. But those who are deaf-blind often miss out on natural opportunities to learn. Get specific interventions from the National Center for Deaf-Blindness.that can help build your child's communication skills and understanding of concepts.

ASDC’s board of director appointed Cheri Dowling to be the new Acting Executive Director. Cheri has been with ASDC for 14 years, first as Director of Advocacy and then as Director of Outreach and Programs.
