Leadership Orientation
Whether you're thinking about joining an ASHI committee or already serving ASHI as a committee member, a committee chair, or a member of the Board of Directors, we invite you to attend the ASHI Leadership Orientation scheduled for Wednesday, August 25 from 2-3 ET.

This webinar will give you background information on ASHI as an organization, as well as help you to prepare for your volunteer role. We'll focus on leadership by reviewing the responsibilities and expectations of your role so that you will be an active member of your group. We want to ensure that you feel empowered to be a positive and effective part of our Society. We're looking forward to helping you grow in your current position and are excited about the possibilities in store for you.

Committee Corner
Attention ASHI Laboratory Inspectors & Trainees
The ARB will be hosting a full-day inspector training workshop at the ASHI Annual Meeting in Orlando, Monday September 27, 2021. This full-day workshop (morning & afternoon sessions) is designed for new inspectors. Active inspectors & trainees can attend the afternoon session (half-day) to keep their status active. To register for this inspector training workshop, full or half day, please email Melissa Weeks

The full day workshop will be in person only, a virtual option will not be offered. The face to face interaction is so important for new inspector training. However, the ARB will offer a virtual version of the half-day workshop later this fall for active inspectors & trainees who are not able to attend in person to maintain their active status.
Proficiency Testing
2021 AC-1 Reports & VXM-1 Reports
The PT Committee is in the process of finalizing the AC-1 reports, after which the VXM-1 reports will be compiled. Labs will be notified by email upon completion of reports.

Volunteer Opportunities
The PT Committee encourages active ASHI members to submit an application to serve on the ASHI PT Committee in 2022. Chosen candidates will be part of a review team analyzing survey-specific data twice a year and will be given other opportunities to serve throughout the year. Please submit your volunteer application by August 27th to be considered.
