ASHI is proud to announce our Gold sponsorship of the COVID-19 HLA corsortium. The corsortium is a centralized resource designed to support and combine efforts underway to study the association between HLA and COVID-19 infection and symptoms.
In May, the ASHI Educational Initiatives Subcommittee began a monthly webinar for directors-in-training. Recordings of these alternating journal clubs/career development workshops are freely available to all ASHI members on the ASHI University website and offer ABHI approved continuing education credits. ASHI on the Hill
The 116th Congress came to an action-packed end as lawmakers negotiated and passed a significant year-end legislative package (H.R. 133) containing COVID-19 relief measures, Fiscal Year 2021 appropriations, as well as a host of additional policies to round out the year. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) also finalized a number of Calendar Year 2021 rules, including the 2021 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS), which contained a proposal of significant importance to ASHI membership. The ASHI Bylaws Committee is looking for volunteers to serve on their committee. This committee ensures that the Society’s bylaws are consistent with the mission of the Society and with current legal best practices for nonprofit organizations.
