ASHI University Offers 70+ Educational Modules

ASHI is excited to announce that ASHI University (ASHI-U) now features over 70 educational modules. Designed for laboratory professionals, students, and clinicians, these expertly crafted modules cover a range of topics in transplantation, HLA typing, and immunogenetics. This milestone highlights ASHI’s commitment to advancing education and supporting professional growth in the histocompatibility field. Modules are free to access with an ASHI membership.

ASHI Wants to Help You Organize a Local HLA Meeting!

ASHI provides financial support for you to hold a Local HLA meeting. The main goal of this effort is to engage technologists in inter-laboratory learning activities. ASHI will provide up to $1,500 in reimbursement to assist with local meeting planning and conduct.

2025 ASHI Membership Renewal Is Open!

Did your membership lapse on December 31, 2024? ASHI memberships operate on a calendar year and there is still time to renew. Keep the momentum going! Renewing for 2025 is a breeze! 2025 PT Program

Welcome to a new proficiency testing year!

International Laboratories

The 2025 ordering deadline for international laboratories is January 24th.

U.S. and Canadian Laboratories

Laboratories in the U.S. and Canada that did not place an order by the December deadline have been granted a grace period and should submit their order at the earliest possible convenience to be included in the upcoming 2025 PT shipments.

2024 Reports

Reports for all surveys except the AC-2 survey are available in the PT Data Center. 2024 AC-2 subscribers will be notified once the AC-2 report has been completed..

The Science and Technology Initiatives Committee (STIC) is pleased to announce a new initiative to promote relevant external research funding opportunities within the ASHI community. We hope to spark the translation of your scientific ideas into productive, funded research projects that advance knowledge in immunogenetics, histocompatibility, and transplantation biology. Requests for applications (RFAs) will be highlighted routinely as new opportunities are announced. Highlighted grants will span all eligible career levels, as well as basic, translational, and clinical science.
