At ASI, we are always striving to uphold our mission statement: Advancing human knowledge to improve animal lives. Part of making this mission a reality is celebrating animals and all they bring – both to our own lives and on their own fruition.

This November, we are launching our fourth Human-Animal Relationship Awareness Week ! During the week of November 11 th , ASI will be posting articles, latest research, fun facts, and more to increase our knowledge base on the human-animal relationship.

As nonhuman animals become ever more important in the lives of people around the world, ASI wants to highlight some of the critical topics surrounding our relationships. Many people look to their companion animals for love and support, but often don’t consider the other animals with whom they share the planet.

The goal for this week is to raise awareness of the importance of human-animal relationships, as well as highlighting both the benefits of, and potential problems associated with these relationships. Our hope is through this week, you and others will be inspired to create more compassionate communities for all.

We need your help! In addition to ASI posting on our social media channels, we want you to engage with these posts and share your own thoughts as well! You can help make a difference during this week for both people and animals, all with a simple post on Facebook or Twitter and tagging #HARAweek . It’s that easy!

If you've been wanting to know how you can become more active in support of our efforts, this is your chance! Take a stand in favor of positive human-animal interactions. Share, like, comment and tag #HARAweek to make more compassionate communities for all!

With Gratitude,
