Chapter Advocacy Chairs nationwide gather in Washington, D.C., for a day of powerful meetings with legislators. We'll advocate for the interior design profession, educate policymakers, and highlight ASID's leadership in federal advocacy.

ASID's 50th Anniversary

ASID is beginning preparations for a "yearbook" commemorating ASID's 50th Anniversary that will coincide with our programming and events in 2025. All members will be receiving a postcard (and an email too!) from Gary Wheeler and John Cialone asking for information from you about updating your contact information with ASID and to call the "800" number to do so. The company handling this for ASID (at no cost to ASID) has done this successfully for many other organizations and we are very pleased to be working with them.

Starting January 1, 2025, we invite all designers, architects and

design students to showcase their groundbreaking work and compete

for this prestigious accolade. This year, we're not just honoring outstanding

design—we're celebrating a decade of pushing boundaries and setting

new standards in the industry.

The State of Design

Join Las Vegas Design Center for this insightful discussion on the evolving landscape of interior design in Las Vegas. Kathryn Givens will chat with local LUXE Red Award winners Daniel Joseph Chenin and Alex Woogmaster about how Las Vegas is making its mark nationally. Hear their take on how this iconic city has evolved and why it has become a hub for great hospitality and residential design. ⁠

The ASID Spa Day, hosted by Mr. Steam, was a rejuvenating experience that blended relaxation with design inspiration. Held at Lapis Spa & Wellness | Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the event brought together designers and industry professionals eager to unwind and connect.

Attendees enjoyed a range of spa treatments, all showcasing the soothing benefits of steam. Throughout the day, expert speakers shared insights on wellness design, emphasizing the importance of creating serene spaces in residential and commercial settings.

Interactive workshops allowed participants to explore the latest in steam technology and its applications in modern design. The day was both informative and indulgent...Thank you, Mr. Steam!

Trivia Night Recap

In September, we teamed up with NKBA for a fun-filled evening of brain-teasing questions and great company!  As promised, the evening offered friendly competition and the chance to mingle with fellow design enthusiasts.

UNLV'S UPCOMING EVENTS

TEAM UNLV CAME TO PLAY!

Team UNLV brought it to Trivia Night! They led the entire evening and were only beaten out for first place at the last possible moment! They ended up with second place and took home $200 and huge bragging rights!

Did we mention they beat out the team "Designing Women," consisting of mainly ASID Chapter Board members 😮

The UNLV Material Board event was a huge success! Thank you to all who attended and created boards!

UNLV'S Annual Supply Drive & Networking Event

UNLV's first event of the year, the Supply Drive and Networking Event, was a great opportunity to get to know each other and kick off the school year. We can’t wait to see everyone at the next event!!

University Student Union Redesign

Attention Fresno State design students! We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to help with an exciting project—redesigning the lounge and dining areas in the old Student Union. This is an unpaid opportunity but it's a great way to enhance your portfolio and make a positive impact on campus for future students.

We are specifically looking for ASID members | Interior Design students with experience in software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).

Recruitment Committee:

Leader is Isabel. You guys will be recruiting people to the Interior Design program at Fresno State. You’ll visit schools and get to talk to people.

External Activities Committee:

Leader is Eleni. You will be in charge of finding activities outside of school for the ASID program to go to. Field trips, events, etc.

Internal Activities Committee:

Leader is Julia. You guys will be in charge of the activities that will take place within school.

Mentorship Committee:

Leader is Ashley. You guys will be in charge of finding local interior designers to partner with students and be their mentors throughout school. You will also pair new students with upperclassmen as mentors throughout their time. Really cool opportunity for learning, growing, and guiding/receiving guidance.
