2024 Legacy Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
The Legacy Scholarship for Undergraduate Students is given annually to recognize academic accomplishment and creative achievement. This grant is open to all students enrolled in at least a three-year accredited program of interior design, in their junior or senior year of undergraduate study. This grant is made possible by the generous support of the Dora Brahms Fund, Mabelle Wilhelmina Boldt Fund, Yale R. Burge Fund, Raymond Kennedy Fund, Ethel Siegelman Fund, and Alan Lucas Fund.

Han Bui is an international student who was born and raised in Vietnam. Being creative is something that Han has always been passionate about; it's brought her a sense of purpose and undeniable freedom. A profound fascination with the harmonious fusion of space, form, and function has shaped her journey. She was captivated by the interplay between structures and their interior environments, drawn to the transformative power of design in shaping human experiences. Her evolving passion for creating spaces inspires awe and nurtures a sense of belonging and purpose.

ASID's 50th Anniversary
ASID is beginning preparations for a "yearbook" commemorating ASID's 50th Anniversary that will coincide with our programming and events in 2025. All members will be receiving a postcard (and an email too!) from Gary Wheeler and John Cialone asking for information from you about updating your contact information with ASID and to call the "800" number to do so. The company handling this for ASID (at no cost to ASID) has done this successfully for many other organizations and we are very pleased to be working with them.

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) announced the 2024 recipients of the Society’s highest professional recognition, the annual ASID National Awards. The program recognizes designers and their transformative work in interior design. This years award goes to our very own Kerrie Kelly, FASID, NKBA.

As part of the ASID Gather event, attendees were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at American Down and Feather, a prominent chapter sponsor and supporter.
The factory tour offered a fascinating glimpse into the meticulous process of creating high-quality down and feather products. Attendees learned about the rigorous quality control measures that ensure only the finest down and feathers are used in their products. We were impressed by the precision and craftsmanship involved in each step of the manufacturing process, from washing and sterilizing the feathers to the final filling of pillows and comforters.

Two new research reports released today by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) show that overall, the interior design profession is strong and industry professionals are satisfied in their careers. Created to support interior designers across all professional levels, the “ASID Compensation & Benefits Report” and the “ASID Talent Acquisition Report” outline prevalent issues in the interior design workplace and offer data to empower the design community to a more inclusive and equitable future.
