CU Denver Scholarship for Landscape Architecture Students
In order to make a tangible difference for underrepresented students and inspire them to help the world through Landscape Architecture, Dig Studio worked with the University of Colorado Denver to establish a scholarship specifically for MLA students in Landscape Architecture, as a component of their Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion Fund (JEDI). Based on this input, the University has enabled the JEDI donation process to include direct donations to the Landscape Architecture Program in support of scholarships for underrepresented students. As a sign of their commitment, Dig Studio has pledged $10,000 to the fund by 2023 and has challenged other Colorado and Wyoming landscape architecture firms to meet or beat their donation!

LEED Green Associate Training
Online – Anytime and Anyplace plus Live Webinars

LEED is simply a sustainability scorecard for green buildings. Buildings can become LEED Certified as can people! The best way to break into the sustainability space is to attain the LEED Green Associate. It also shows employers and clients you have certified knowledge in the field. Since the LEED GA exam doesn’t have a stellar pass rate, the value of the extra letters behind your name will carry even more weight. ASLA Colorado members can receive $50 off the course price by using the discount code “sust”.

Colorado Restaurant Winter Outdoor Dining
CLICK HERE for more information then click the “CO Outdoor Dining Designs” green bar.

ASLA Colorado teamed up with Governor Polis, the Colorado Restaurant Association, AIA Colorado, and other associations to participate in a design charrette (by invitation) on October 19, 2020 to create feasible ideas for outdoor dining concepts for restaurants through Colorado’s cold-weather months (due to COVID restrictions). The link above will take you to the program (which includes grants for restaurants) and if you click the “Workshop Design” or “Winter Resources” tabs you will see the program participants and design results. You can also sign up for more information on the program. A similar program was conducted recently in Chicago CLICK HERE for more information.

University of Colorado College of Architecture and Planning
Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Support Fund

The Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) scholarship fund in the College of Architecture and Planning was created to provide opportunities for minority students in the MLA program, to assist with the financial burden of a graduate degree. The profession of Landscape Architecture lacks minority representation across all levels and for this to change, we need financial support for students to take the first step toward becoming landscape architects. “If you wish to donate specifically to the LA program, please note "FOR JEDI LANDSCAPE USE" in the comments box on the second page of the form as you make their gift.”
