ASLM is excited to announce the theme of ASLM2023, ‘Shaping laboratory systems and diagnostic services for the 21st century: embracing the change’.
In 2023, the discussions will address the significance, implications and opportunities coming with the recent tremendous evolutions in diagnostic technologies, laboratory-free models of test delivery, changes in disease epidemiology, and concrete opportunities for local manufacturing of diagnostic tools. The debate will highlight how laboratory system interventions and investments need to adapt to the transition from capacity building to capacity consolidation, and to the context of an increasingly robust African scientific and technical leadership.
