ASMP Member Feature: Stephanie Bassos
While behind the camera, Stephanie’s compassion and confidence unite, creating contemporary, yet nostalgic lifestyle imagery. Her love of photography began with a point-and-shoot camera, and an abandoned building she snuck into with a friend to photograph the remains. After that, she took one photography class in Italy in 2005, and hasn’t left home without at least one camera since. To say she obsessively shoots is an understatement.
In 2013, her career expanded from part-time to full-time, and from corporate portraits, families and weddings, to editorial, commercial, and documentary work with a fresh perspective. She has a knack for seeing what others might miss, the subtle moments between moments. She finds mundane experiences entirely fascinating and is driven by the beautiful chaos of life. Stephanie’s work shows life as it truly exists. Dividing her time between Chicago and Denver, Stephanie loves cooking a good meal and spending time with her husband and two kids.
She values all of her relationships deeply, and photographs with all of her heart.

Congratulations to ASMP CO Sponsor Sara Rosinsky on her new book!
Yes, spelling can be fun.
And punctuation. And even—gasp!—grammar. This new book by Colorado copywriter Sara Rosinsky explains the difference between confusable words like adverse and averse, stationary and stationery, and less and fewer. You’ll learn how to pluralize last names, when to capitalize mom and dad, and why just deserts is spelled that way. With colorful examples and clear explanations, this book will show you how to write with fewer mistakes, more confidence, and ultimately, joy.
