ASMP Colorado Social Media contest: Congratulations to Howard Paul for winning our monthly Facebook and newsletter cover contest! If you have an image you'd like featured here, go to ASMP Colorado Photo Chat on FB and upload your photo. The image that gets the most likes will be featured here next month and on the Facebook banner. You must be an ASMP member.

Starting in November: We're excited to bring you this added incentive! A 16x20 canvas print will be made for each month's winning image. These images will be displayed at the annual BBQ and/or holiday party. Winners will receive their prints after all 12 are displayed.

Tyler Beck is a Canon Product Educator with a background in video production. After spending much time around photography growing up, he decided to challenge himself with the world of videography. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Media Digital Film Production in 2012. While spending his time learning the ins and outs of cameras, he was the Cinematographer and Editor of Downtown: A Documentary Film.

ASMP Member Feature: Kathryn Wagner

Kathryn grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia and attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia; where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography. Kathryn is passionate about sharing food and travel experiences with others. Kathryn’s work has included shooting food and travel stories for clients such as American Airlines’ Celebrated Living, The New York Times, and Travel + Leisure magazines. Kathryn is currently based in Denver, and is available nationally for commission and assignment.

Erika Larsen is a multidisciplinary storyteller who believes that photography is one of the most important ways to explore our understanding of time. She is fascinated by the way we communicate with nature and often focuses on people that maintain strong relationships to the natural world. Her monograph ‘Sami-Walking with Reindeer’, a reflection of her time living in the Scandinavian Arctic, was published in 2013.

Larsen is a Storytelling Fellow with National Geographic Society exploring how ritual can help us communicate our relationship to liminality, consciousness and daily life. This work became her second monograph, ‘Materia Prima', published in 2021. Her work has been included in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, University of Kentucky Art Museum, Fotografiska Museum and the United States Embassy in Oslo.

We plan to again send these Find a Photographer emails to more than 600 hundred agencies, art buyers, art directors and producers in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
