CHECK YOUR EXAM CENTRE IN SOLUS

For the 2021-22 academic year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all distance students will be required to write their exams via Online Proctor using Examity. Please check your exam centre in SOLUS to ensure your exam will be set up correctly.

In your Student Centre, click on "My Class Schedule", click on the "Fall 2021" term, then look under "Exam Centre Location" (highlighted yellow in the screen shot above). All Exam Centres should be listed as “Online Proctor (#2222). For courses that do not have a scheduled proctored exam, your exam centre will also be changed to Exam Centre: 2222 (online proctored), but you will not have a link to Examity in your onQ course.

Please contact aso.exams@queensu.ca if your exam centre location does not say “Online Proctor” before October 15, 2021.
TRANSFER CREDIT PROCESS

Some of you may be looking to transfer some credits that you have previously earned at another institution. The transfer credit assessment will occur once you have accepted your offer of admission to a certificate or degree program. You will need to submit your course descriptions electronically as soon as possible to facilitate the assessment of transfer credit process.

It can take several weeks for your completed assessments to be posted on your SOLUS account. To view the assessments that you have received, look in your SOLUS Student Centre, under the “Academic” section, and select the option of “Transfer Credit Report”.

The maximum credits that can be transferred to an ASO general degree is 42.0 units. For students completing a BA degree, a maximum of 12.0 of the 42.0 units can be used towards the plan requirements. For those who are completing a BSC degree, a maximum of 18.0 of the 42.0 transferred units (excluding supporting courses) can be used towards the plan requirements.

The deadline to request your transfer credits is at the end of your first term on a degree program with ASO. If you have any questions about your transfer credits, please contact Undergraduate Admissions (transfer@queensu.ca).
