The community came together to celebrate ASPIRO’s second annual Family Night on June 14th. Staff were excited to share the story of ASPIRO and discuss the many programs we offer throughout the Brown County area. We shared a great meal of BBQ pork; serving 330 meals lovingly prepared by our staff on a custom smoker. Family Night provides us with a rare opportunity to learn more about the families of those we serve while they learn more about ASPIRO, our staff, and the support they provide every day. It was great to reconnect with old friends as well as make some new ones!  One of the unique highlights of family night this year was the initial sale of our in-house artists’ note cards. While Family Night was the first time you could buy them, they are now available online at the link below.

It has been said that coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. We proved that axiom Thursday morning when we were brought together again for a very different reason. The storm that rolled through Wednesday night did some damage to our property on Dousman and left us without power. As a result we were forced to close for two days. Thursday morning ASPIRO staff came and worked together at Dousman to clean up all the storm debris and help us get back on our feet. Their hard work made it possible to get up and running as quickly as possible. A shout out also goes to the roofers who are hard at work in the heat this week as we make our building water tight once again!

While we love to come together and show off on Family Night one time a year, you are always welcome to give us a call, come and visit, and learn more about the work we do.
