President's Message
This month we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness month. This year is particularly special because 2020 also marks the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disability Act. In celebration of these milestones ASPIRO is excited to announce two new opportunities for the people we support.

This month ASPIRO opened a new Group Supported Employment site. This new location will allow a rotating group of 4 clients, along with a full time ASPIRO supervisor, to explore working in a fully integrated setting alongside non-disabled peers while earning minimum wage or more.

This month also marked our entry into a new and innovative service model called Building Full Lives. This program focuses on building independence and confidence through enhancing daily living skills, experiencing career exploration, and connecting people as they volunteer.

These new options further augment ASPIRO’s full array of services as we continue to encourage people with disabilities to chart their own course.

Green Bay Packers Foundation supports new Microenterprise Class
ASPIRO has developed a microenterprise class, as a part of the Building Full Lives program, where a rotating class of clients will source, supply, and maintain a vending machine at ASPIRO. The new vending machine is funded in part by a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation. The class curriculum includes:

1. Determining what product will be placed in the machine,
2. Sourcing the product either online or through making a trip to the store,
3. Pricing the product for profit,
4. Stocking the machine and maintaining inventory,
4. Tracking expenses and income,
5. Making deposits to the ASPIRO accounting department,
6. Tracking sales and making determination if a product should be switched out.
Amazon Smiles
We will all be doing more online holiday shopping this year than ever. Did you know that Amazon donates 0.5% of your eligible purchases when you designate ASPIRO as your charity. Click here to download a flyer about the program.
