New: Hospital Operations Toolkit for COVID-19
This toolkit serves as a single source of information for hospital emergency managers and planners preparing to manage large numbers of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The toolkit is comprised of four primary sections: Capacity, Infection Prevention and Control, Patient Care Policies/Processes, and Administration.
Crisis Standards of Care and COVID-19 (Webinar): What’s Working and What Isn’t?

Speakers will discuss clinical consultation versus triage support, systems-level information sharing, coalition-level coordination activities, and recent publications/resources to help with COVID-19 planning efforts. The webinar will take place Thursday, December 3 at 12:00 PM ETRegister today!

New: The Role of Community Pharmacists in COVID-19
Dr. Alfred L’Altrelli, administrative director of pharmacy, UPMC Presbyterian, discusses how the role of pharmacists has evolved in general—beyond product dispensing to patient-centered care—and how this has manifested during the pandemic in this short video. New: Physician Well-Being--What’s Changed and What’s More Important than Ever in the Wake of COVID-19
Drs. Jonathan Ripp and Brendan Carr highlight how the pandemic has affected staff at the Mount Sinai Health System and steps the organization has taken to mitigate staff stress and increase wellness and resilience in this short video. New: Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital: One State’s Experience during COVID-19

This case study highlights a joint effort to establish the Baltimore (MD) Convention Center Field Hospital, an alternate care site (ACS) created to help manage the patient surge from the COVID-19 pandemic. We highlight their experiences standing up and maintaining this ACS and challenges and considerations by category in the hopes that the information can be helpful to stakeholders engaged in similar planning and response efforts.

 

COVID-19 Clinical Rounds Peer-to-Peer Virtual Communities of Practice are a collaborative effort between ASPR, the National Emerging Special Pathogen Training and Education Center (NETEC), and Project ECHO. These interactive virtual learning sessions aim to create a peer-to-peer learning network where clinicians from the U.S. and abroad who have experience treating patients with COVID-19 share their challenges and successes; a generous amount of time for participant Q & A is also provided. These webinar topics are covered every week:

  • EMS: Patient Care and Operations (Mondays, 12:00-1:00 PM ET)
  • Critical Care: Lifesaving Treatment and Clinical Operations (Tuesdays, 12:00-1:00 PM ET)
  • Emergency Department: Patient Care and Clinical Operations (Thursdays, 12:00-1:00 PM ET)
