Updated: COVID-19 and Children Webinar Series
ASPR TRACIE and ASPR’s Pediatric Disaster Care Centers of Excellence partnered on the series “Hidden Consequences: How the COVID Pandemic is Impacting Children.” Access the webinar recordings and answers to questions received during the fourth webinar, The Impact of COVID-19 on Children with Special Healthcare Needs.  
Healthcare Operations During the COVID-19 Pandemic
This speaker series highlights how the COVID-19 pandemic brought healthcare and public health, emergency medical services, and emergency management together to adjust healthcare operations. Eric Alberts explains lessons learned by Orlando Health during the pandemic, including the role of safety officers, internal communications, adding negative air flow rooms, and redeploying staff.

New: Telehealth Resources
Access the materials that comprise the HHS Telemedicine Hack and the related handbook to help your organization conduct and bill video-based telemedicine visits. These three webinars, developed by ASPR's At-Risk Individuals Program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, focus on implementing telehealth services to address the access and functional needs of at-risk individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
New: COVID-19 Healthcare Resilience Working Group Resources
Staffing Playbook: Actions to Address Healthcare Worker (HCW) Shortages during COVID-19 consolidates several references aimed at addressing pandemic-related staffing challenges. The Alternate Care Site Resource Package can support state, tribal, local, and territorial governments in the establishment and operation of an alternate care site.
Bamlanivimab Emergency Use Authorization

On November 9, Eli Lilly and Company received an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the investigational monoclonal antibody treatment bamlanivimab. The EUA allows healthcare providers to administer bamlanivimab to non-hospitalized patients with confirmed COVID-19 who are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms and are at high-risk for severe symptoms and hospitalization. This page describes this antibody treatment and the allocation and distribution process.

 

COVID-19 Clinical Rounds Peer-to-Peer Virtual Communities of Practice are a collaborative effort between ASPR, the National Emerging Special Pathogen Training and Education Center (NETEC), and Project ECHO. These interactive virtual learning sessions aim to create a peer-to-peer learning network where clinicians from the U.S. and abroad who have experience treating patients with COVID-19 share their challenges and successes; a generous amount of time for participant Q & A is also provided. These webinar topics are covered every week:

  • EMS: Patient Care and Operations (Mondays, 12:00-1:00 PM ET)
  • Critical Care: Lifesaving Treatment and Clinical Operations (Tuesdays, 12:00-1:00 PM ET)
  • Emergency Department: Patient Care and Clinical Operations (Thursdays, 12:00-1:00 PM ET)
