Message from Coordination Unit

ASSET newsletter.png

Welcome to the first edition of the ASSET Regional Project Newsletter!

Issued every four months, this newsletter is to share information about the ASSET regional project implemented in Lao PDR, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar that mobilizes the expertise of 27 national, European, and international partners, including the Ministries of Agriculture of the four countries.

The ASSET project aims to address challenges for the research and development community, in generating and sharing contextualized knowledge to support the transitions from a relatively standard and simple Green-Revolution based model of intensification, to a mosaic of production systems (agroforestry, crop-livestock integration, crop-diversity, conservation agriculture, etc.) with increasingly diverse and strengthened connections to safe food systems, including domestic and export value-chains.

This newsletter will showcase successful experiences, lessons learnt, recently released studies and reports as well as upcoming events related to agroecology and food systems, from grass root to policy levels.

Kind regards,

The ASSET Project Coordination Unit
