In an effort to make it easier for parents and students to access teachers, grades, and other links from one location, each ASTEC Teacher has created a website where this and other information regarding their classes can be found.
In the sites, you will find links to information about the teacher, Google Classroom, Google Meet, PowerSchool, Seesaw, Edmentum and other useful links. Each site has a contact form and teacher contact information for easy communication with that teacher.
To access the sites go to the ASTEC website, click on the "Faculty & Staff" link in the main navigation bar, and select “All Faculty” link and scroll down to find the teacher you are looking for. Beside each picture is a “website” link that will take you directly to that teacher’s website.
Please note the “Help Me” button at the top right hand side of each teacher website. This button takes you to a place where you can ask school-related questions, get help with homework and in a crisis situation, will put you directly in touch with a national clearinghouse of counselors who can help you deal with issues relating to anger management, suicide prevention, emotional issues, child abuse/neglect and substance abuse to name a few.
How it works:
Step 1: Scholars or parents who have a problem and want to report it.
Step 2: Call, Text, Message or Email the School Helpline.
Step 3: A Crisis Worker will answer and take a report.
The Crisis Worker may ask questions about who you are and how you have access to this information. They may ask for your name or phone number just in case someone needs to call you back. If you want to be anonymous that is okay! Remember to report truthful information only. False reporting is considered harassment and this is a crime.
Step 4: Provide the report
Step 5: The Crisis Worker can forward your information to your school's designated official for a call back and/or provide you with national, state and local information to assist with food shortages, child behavioral issues, depression, drug/alcohol abuse and much more.
ASTEC will continue to work hard to help make learning as easy and convenient for scholars so that they can focus on what’s important, attending school, working hard and getting good grades to help them in every way possible for their entire life.
