Back to School COVID-19 Testing & Vaccination Event
|
On behalf of the AST Health System:
Pfizer vaccination available for ages 12 and up*.
Open to the public.
When: Thursday, August 19th, 2021, 5pm-7pm
Where: Little Axe Health Center, 15951 Little Axe Drive Norman, OK 73026
*Backpacks and door prizes are only available for youth 12-18 years old who receive their COVID-19 vaccine the night of the event.

After Hours COVID-19 Vaccine Events
|
On behalf of the AST Health System:
For Your Visit...
- Wear a mask (no cloth masks permitted).
- Bring identification.
- All clinics are open to the public, walk-in only, no appointment needed.
For Antibody Testing...
- Be prepared to have blood drawn.
- Testing is available to anyone ages 10+.
For Vaccine Clinic...
- Vaccine is available to anyone ages 12+.
- Vaccine will be administered in two shots 3-4 weeks apart.
- You will be monitored 15-30 minutes after receiving.

- Testing- 5:30pm - 6:30pm: Thursday, Aug. 5th, Aug. 19th, Sept. 9th, Sept. 23rd
- Antibody Testing- 5pm - 6pm (LA ONLY): Thursday, Aug. 26th, Sept. 30th

OU American Indian Visitation Day
|

For: American Indian High School Seniors and Prospective Transfer Students
American Indian Visitation Day (AIVD) is an on-campus experience for American Indian high school seniors and prospective transfer students to connect with admissions counselors, staff, current OU students, faculty, and academic departments and resources at OU; have candid conversations, and listen to two OU alumni. The day will include sessions focused on equipping American Indian students for success in both academic and student life at OU. Family members attending with their student will also have the opportunity to hear from staff, students, and alumni on how to provide support for their student’s academic career.

I Strengthen My Nation: Artistic Expression of Resilience Against Substance Misuse
|
On behalf of the the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and We R Native:
Enter to Win!
I Strengthen My Nation: Artistic Expressions of Resilience Against Substance Misuse
For this challenge, youth are invited to submit any original form of art and describe how it depicts resilience against substance use. Prizes: $500 individual submission, $1000 group submission (approx. 25 prizes).
I Strengthen My Nation: American Indian and Alaska Native Community Projects Created by Youth
For this one, youth are invited to develop plans for a project that they believe would augment resilience to substance use in communities, submitting a plan for the project and a video description. Prizes: $2,000-$10,000 per entry, total amount to be awarded: $85,000.
Submissions open April 8 and close July 7! Winners will be announced July 30, 2021. Please spread the word!
UPDATE: The submission deadline has been extended to December 10th, 2021.
All entries submitted by the original submission date of July 7th, 2021 will be assessed during Round One Judging in July 2021, and all other entries will be assessed in Round Two Judging in January 2022.
If you submit by the original July 7th deadline and you are not selected for a prize in round one, your submission will still be considered in round two of judging.
Final Submission Deadline Extended!
- Submission End: December 10, 2021
- Round One Judging: July 2021
- Round Two Judging: January 2022
- Winners Announced: July 30th, 2021 (Round One) and January 31st, 2022 (Round Two)
