TechCrunch Disrupt

This month we were happy to attend TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. There, Sebastian Thrun debuted Udacity’s new self-driving nanodegree program.

“When we started the Google self-driving car project we actually drove pretty much from day one,” Thrun said. “What kept us safe was the [the ability for] a well-trained safety driver to take over the steering at any time. The car that AutonomouStuff built for us has the same capabilities."

We love supporting the future of technology and education by providing cutting edge safe products and services to organizations like Udacity.

Data storage issues? We've got you covered!

Last week we hosted a webinar with our friends at Quantum highlighting their amazing data storage solution.

To kick off the webinar we discussed a problem many of our customers are encountering. With multiple camera, LiDAR and RADAR sensors your self-driving car is constantly collecting large amounts of data.

So what do you do with it? Do you stop your research for a data dump? No, you don't. You use the QXS Data Storage solution.

If you missed our webinar, don't fret! Slides from the presentation, a YouTube recording and product info can all be found using the "More Info" button on the right!
New product: Point Grey Bumblebee

We're always looking for the best technologies available. We’re proud to announce  that we are now offering the Point Grey Bumblebee Stereo Vision Camera Systems!

The Bumblebee Stereo Vision Camera Systems provide a balance between 3D data quality, processing speed, size and price. The Bumblebee systems also feature increased frame rate and a GPIO connector for external trigger and strobe functionality.

Have you heard about nuTonomy?

The headline sweeping the industry is “nuTonomy just beat Uber in the race to launch self-driving cars." Uber announced that they would be moving into public trials of self-driving taxis but nuTonomy pulled it off first.

Way to go nuTonomy! We're happy to have been there from the start and we will continue enabling the future of transportation by providing amazing technology, services and support to companies big and small across this industry!
WVU won the NASA Centennial Challenge!

One of the coolest parts of being at the center of this industry is having the opportunity to support young people in the development of new technologies.

The NASA Centennial Challenge was created as a means of finding innovative solutions to NASA's technical challenges through prize competitions open to the public. We supported the West Virginia University team throughout this challenge and they went on to WIN the $750,000 first place prize!

We couldn't be more excited for this team and proud to have been able to help them.

Where in the world is AutonomouStuff?

If you've been keeping up with us on social media you know that we've been doing a little bit of everything! We showcased our Platform at Autonomous Vehicles Detroit, drove our demo vehicle across the U.S. and we attended TechCrunch Disrupt with Udacity.

Up next on the agenda we have the Automotive Testing Expo in Shanghai, NXP in Detroit, Majesco Convergence in Atlanta and RoboBusiness in San Jose! You can check out the rest of our events, including where we'll be and when, to the right.
