Pay Equity Support Program Now Available to ATAC Members

Last fall, ATAC began a pilot-test of a pay equity support program with a group of Flight Training Units to help them achieve compliance with the new federal legislation. The program was led by a pay equity consulting firm that ATAC engaged to lead this program.

The program has been a great success, with a number of Flight Training Units participating. Some of these have now completed their exercise to achieve compliance with the new federal pay equity legislation.

ATAC is now making this program available to other ATAC members. The program will enable organizations to access the same consulting firm at a reduced rate. The consulting firm will develop a tailored approach and related fee estimate based on the size of the organization. In addition, ATAC will charge a nominal fee to help it recover its costs for pilot testing the initial program.

For more information, please contact Wayne Gouveia at wgouvia@atac.ca.

Leadership in Flight Training (LIFT) Certificate Program

The Leadership in Flight Training (LIFT) Certificate program is in the final stages of development.

The LIFT program is designed to provide leadership and mentorship training to prepare the flight training leaders of the future. To enable them to grow as supervisory instructors when upgrading to a Class II Flight Instructor Rating.

The first two deliveries of the certificate program will be offered at a subsidized introductory fee to participants and will be delivered in 2024.
