ATEC Annual Conference 2018
The premier event for aviation maintenance technician education will take place in Washington DC on March 17-20.
Recruitment and Exhibit Opportunities
The Employer Expo provides a networking opportunity for educators and recruiters to explore partnership possibilities. It is a one-stop shop for company representatives to meet with aviation maintenance technician school administrators from across the U.S.
Introduce your service or product to more than 150 representatives of the aviation maintenance education community. Exhibitors have dedicated space in the exhibit hall, are recognized in conference materials, and receive passes to attend the entire event.

FAA Publishes General Handbook, New Edition
The 2018 edition of the Aviation Maintenance Technician Handbook–General (FAA-H-8083-30A) is one of a three-part FAA-published series of handbooks for those preparing for mechanic certification. Read more
Distance Learning: Research Request
Faculty at Southern Illinois University and Middle Tennessee State University are conducting research to support the collective use of online course delivery and other computer-based training. Instructors are asked to participate in a short survey. Read more

ATEC Student, Educator of Year
ATEC is now accepting nominations for the James Reardon Aviation Maintenance Technician Student of the Year Award and the Ivan D. Livi Aviation Maintenance Educator of the Year Award. Nominations are due January 31. Read more
Northrop Rice Foundation
The Northrop Rice Foundation distributes financial, equipment, technical book, and tool support to AMT students, instructors, and part 147 schools. The deadline to apply is Jan. 31. Read more
Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association
The AMFA National Executive Council is accepting applications for two scholarships. The deadline to apply for the $2500 awards is Feb. 28. Read more
Aerospace Maintenance Council
The Aerospace Maintenance Council hosts annually the Aerospace Maintenance Competition. It's Phoebe Omlie scholarship, recognizing the first FAA female mechanic, is awarded to student competitors. The deadline to apply is March 15. Text Link
General Aviation Manufacturers Association
Given annually, the Edward W. Stimpson “Aviation Excellence” Award goes to a graduating high school senior who has been accepted to an aviation degree core program. The deadline to apply is April 13. Read more
