Help Us Help You: Respond to the ATEC Survey and Update Your Profile
Each year, ATEC runs a survey of part 147 aviation maintenance training schools to assess key trends in aviation maintenance education and guide future association activities and priorities. The information feeds the trade association's premier and much-read annual publication, the Pipeline Report.

In 2023, ATEC teamed up with in industry leader in aviation consulting and forecasting, Oliver Wyman, to enhance the annual report and support a deeper dive into aviation workforce trends. This year, the duo will release the Pipeline Report at a media event on Capitol Hill, in conjunction with the ATEC Fly-in. The Sept 17-20 event brings together industry stakeholders, regulators, and congressional leaders to discuss policy issues impacting the aviation workforce. All stakeholders are encouraged and welcome to attend.

The part 147 school community has grown to 202 strong this year, and it is vital that each program responds to the survey so that we have an accurate picture of the current pipeline. Survey response requests were sent to the primary contact at each school and we thank you in advance for the time and effort spent to provide the requested information.

In addition to the survey response, schools are asked to update their member profiles on the ATEC website. Profiles are also utilized to collect data that feeds into the Pipeline Report, to include current enrollment numbers and student capacity. The information also feeds the members only directory, to assist industry recruitment and networking initiatives.

In summary, A&P programs, here is the ask:

  • Confirm receipt of the ATEC survey request, which went to the main point of contact at your school. Responses are due tomorrow, but will likely be extended through next week. Contact Tarra Ruttman if you cannot locate the request.
  • Update your member profile, which is also available to the main point of contact for your school.
  • Register for the ATEC Fly-in to meet with regulators, lawmakers, and get the first look at the 2024 Pipeline Report in September.

Thank you for your continued support of these efforts!
