While the state grapples with this public health crisis, people in recovery from substance use disorders are amongst many who now have some additional challenges to overcome. ATR is doing everything possible to continue to support our ATR participants during this challenging time.
Although most of our community providers have temporarily suspended services, ATR has arranged to be able to still offer some critical recovery supports for our participants, including:
- Recovery Coaching done virtually via telehealth.
- Paying for cell phone bills so that participants stay connected to their loved ones and their source of supports.
- Paying for rental checks to sober homes to the 12 participants who began in our Sober Home Pilot Project before the intakes had to stop.
- Our wonderful ATR Coordinators are still working (from their homes) and reaching out by phone to their participants. Never underestimate the value of a call or message - it has the power to bring hope and confidence during this uncertain time.
We're looking forward to getting back up and running as soon and as safely as possible. In the meantime, we hope all our ATR friends will be well.
