Spooky season is upon us! Who’s ready for cooler nights and all things pumpkin?? We know we are, and so are our clients! Take a peek at a little friend we found in the firepit rocks at one of our client's homes!

While there are so many local festivals for family-friendly fall fun, the official end of summer doesn't mean outdoor maintenance duties are over just yet! Staying on top of your landscape's needs as the seasons change will ensure your yard is prepped and ready to withstand cold weather and come back healthier than ever next year. Make sure to properly care for your lawn after a recent aeration and overseedand stay off the turf to give your freshly seeded lawn the best opportunity for growth. It's also the last call to schedule your fall clean-up and leaf removal, so call today to get added to our schedule!

As we head into this new season, see how our crews are still breaking ground on new projects and finishing some other designs just in time to enjoy these chillier evenings. The weather might be changing, but that hasn't slowed us down!

What's better than a crisp fall evening, your friends and family surrounding a warm fire, and hot cider in hand (and maybe a s'more in the other)? Having it all right in your backyard!

When adding a fire feature to your backyard landscape, there's a lot to consider, from style to fueling method and even location. Find out what works for you and incorporate a fire feature into your outdoor area that highlights your unique taste and enhances your landscape design. Here are just a few fire feature options to explore:

The Wood-Burning Firepit

There's nothing quite like the classic aroma of a wood-burning firepit. Some people hate the smokey smell, while others live for it. If you're one of the latter and are looking for a permanent feature in your outdoor space, a built-in wood burning firepit is for you! Customize the look of your design in shape and size with pavers and retaining walls that suit your seating area by selecting materials in your preferred colors and textures.

The Gas-Fueled Firepit

The ease of lighting a gas firepit is the prime benefit for the outdoor entertainer, as there is no need to worry about keeping dry firewood on-hand and getting the flame lit. With a gas-fueled firepit, lighting is simple with a twist of the fuel valve and a lighter. Plus, the gas-fueled firepit provides a bit more flexibility in size and shape selection. Choose the organic look of circular retaining walls or opt for more perimeter space with pavers set in a square or rectangular design.

The Outdoor Fireplace

If the rugged nature of an outdoor firepit isn't your thing, then consider elevating your backyard design with a luxurious outdoor fireplace. This option is safe, tidy, and provides a sophisticated ambiance to your outdoor areas while still allowing access to an open flame for toasting up snacks. Plus, and outdoor fireplace can be built under a covered structure, allowing for use in all weather. Craft a full outdoor living room by placing a seating area around your fireplace with a TV above the mantle or near an outdoor bar for ultimate relaxation with all of your necessities in arms reach.

Colorful spring landscaping, a dip in the pool in the summertime, and a cozy firepit with ample seating for the cooler fall evenings: Welcome to the perfect entertaining space for the ever-changing Indiana seasons! Although this patio is just under 1,000 square feet, it’s packed with carefully executed design elements to optimize the space and function surrounding this Noblesville home.

Designer, Jeff Mull, carefully curated every square foot of this space to bring the homeowners' vision to life, while also ensuring its durability lasts for years to come. Every material and finish was selected to serve a specific purpose in this design. Check out our latest Project Spotlight to explore some of the challenges we came across, as well as the creative solutions that our team implemented to overcome these obstacles.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month: Frankie Valadez

Please help us in congratulating our Employee of the Month, Frankie Valadez! Frankie joined our team earlier this year in our Commercial Maintenance Division, and his infectious smile and positive attitude has won everyone over. What would a morning be like without Frankie making the rounds to everyone's offices to tell them good morning? We don't want to find out!

We also want to thank Frankie for his flexibility with changing crews, willingness to learn new things, and ability to jump in to help wherever we need him to. He has learned a lot this year, and it has been our joy to watch him grow in his position!
