Your ATVBC President and Executive Director have been busy meeting with fellow leaders from the motorized recreation community along with club members from the lower mainland to discuss the potential impacts of the proposed Bridal Falls Gondola Project.
On Jan 6, 2023, an open letter to media and government was issued on behalf of the group. SEE OPEN LETTER HERE
Additionally, on Jan 18, 2023 the following statement was issued:
Our group disagrees with the Bridal Falls Gondola proponent on the level of impact that the project will have on the high value public recreation opportunities in the area within and outside their proposed tenure.
However, we believe there are workable solutions to the current proposal that could reduce the impact to all recreational user access and still meet the requests of the proponents and their indigenous partners.
We are currently setting up meetings with the proponent to bring forward ideas and solutions with the intention to have more clarity on this project and its impact on recreation in the coming months.
