HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR.
 
August 8th- 10th
"Get' cha Head in the Game" and catch Disney's High School Musical, Jr. at the Strand! Featuring the catchy songs and exciting dance numbers of the wildly popular Disney movie, the Strand's all-student cast is "All in this Together" as they bring you the romantic-comedy story of two high school students from rival cliques that refuse to "Stick to the Status Quo" when they try out for the lead roles in their school musical.
Starring Zach Seabaugh as Troy, Allie Stewart as Gabriella, Shelbea Owen as Sharpay, Eric Worrall as Ryan, Landon Ebuna as Chad, and Kari Twyman as Taylor. High School Musical, Jr. is a Strand-produced musical directed by Meagan Williams, drama instructor at Mt. Paran Christian School. Tickets are $10 and assigned seating.  Order tickets online at

PIGS AND PEACHES BBQ FESTIVAL
Grills and smokers of all shapes and sizes will be at Adams Park on Friday and Saturday, August 22-23 for the City of Kennesaw's Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival. Festival hours are Friday from 6 to 11 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is FREE.

ART IN THE PARK
Historic Marietta Square offers Labor Day weekend fun with the 28th annual Art in the Park, this year featuring the Chalk Spot! A favorite with locals and visitors alike, Art in the Park welcomes more than 175 artists showing fine arts and crafts. NOW-Aug 31. Gallery 4463 will feature the works of an artist with a long running career in Commercial Art and Painting, Jack Smith. The show will run from July 30 through August 31 in the main area of the gallery. Gallery 4463 is located just across the railroad tracks from Main Street at 4463 Cherokee Street in Acworth. NOW-AUG 29 ELM CLASSES - Fall registration. It offers a full day of classes, a catered lunch, and scheduled lunchtime presentations for active adults age 50 and older.
