The Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan provides the largest Child Tax Credit ever, a historical relief to most working families – and most families will automatically receive monthly payments without having to take any action.
 
President Biden’s American Families Plan calls for extending this tax relief for years and years.
 
Low-income families with children are eligible for this crucial tax relief – including those who have not made enough money to be required to file taxes.

In late May, DTA received approval from the federal government to issue Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) this summer, providing families with continued financial assistance to buy food amid increased food insecurity.

Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living has received additional funding from MV Community Foundation and is available to assist island households experiencing economic hardship due to COVID 19, with heat and electric utility payments. For information and an application contact one of the following:
