August Is A Ministry Month!

August 2-9 

ServeNC is an annual emphasis for our churches to meet needs and creatively minister to their community and to the schools, teachers and students as the new school year begins! 

This is also a part of our ongoing LRBA “ADOPT A NEIGHBORHOOD/ SCHOOL” initiative. 

LRBA WMU is encouraging churches to collect and deliver school supplies during the month of August to their local schools.

August 23

Declaration Church Plant and Pastor Travis Suits & Team launches at Buies Creek Elementary School. Please pray for this team as they begin a new church to reach Campbell Students and the growing Buies Creek area.

Serve NC Reports 

Please let our LRBA office know what ServeNC ministry projects your church is doing and the testimonies that come from this outreach! 

VBS Reports 

Way to go LRBA Churches on VBS! What an awesome summer of ministry! At least 22 of our churches had outstanding VBS/Backyard Bible Club/Summer Excel Camp outreaches that have all been successful.

Please send us reports and testimonies of the number of people that were saved or families that joined your church as a result of VBS.

MISSIONS RALLY - REGION 4

August 17

Holly Springs Baptist Church, Broadway

A main focus of the rally will be state, national, international mission opportunities and an update on our Hurricane Helene Rebuilding opportunities.

A meal is provided at no charge, but reservations are necessary to ensure an accurate meal count. The cut-off date for reserving a meal for each Mission Rally is one week prior (by 8/10) to the event.

SERVE NC

August 1-8

Will your church be participating in SERVE NC? This is a great way for our churches to connect with the community, serve local schools near your church or your fire department, police department or first responders with some type of mission service project that meets their need and shares the gospel. Please let us know how your church will be participating in SERVE NC HERE.

Is your church stuck in a rut? Seeking revitalization but not sure where to start? RevitalizeNC’s ‘Start Here’ training will equip your church or associational team with key resources to guide you through the revitalization process.

Please collect school supplies for the Harnett County Schools. If you have teachers in your church family, ask for ideas on what may be needed at your local schools.

September Mission Project

The September Mission emphasis is the Red Box Mission for incarcerated women. We will collect the following:



• Deodorant: 2 to 3.5 ounce/plastic bottles
• Soap: 3.2 to 5 ounce size bar soap; MUST be kept in original box. No charcoal ingredient.

Collection date at LRBA office will be by
