For us, losing what is ‘Home’ or ‘Normal,’ might include the loss of a loved one, a divorce, a child going off to college, a retirement, or any other transition in life that we might deny or avoid. To live this way keeps us from the full and vibrant life God intends for us.

To BE a Spiritual Life which is healthy and grounded in faith, also means to NAME those things that keep us from God’s will for us. It means learning to Lament. And that can change everything.

Join us for a series in which we consider how to walk a path of naming and claiming freedom and new life by learning and understanding the importance of Lamenting.
WATER WELLS 2018
Great news...preliminary counts show us with enough funds accumulated to dig Well No. 13!!!!! And we have a good start on what’s needed for Well No. 14.

Special Thank you to all the Vacation Bible School children for raising $929 during the week of VBS for Wells No. 14!

To continue raising money for this ministry, we’ll be selling $10 coupons to Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant to be used during the month of August. And if you have family and friends who enjoy great Mexican food, we want you to sell coupons to them as well.....let’s dig Well No. 14!
A BIG THANK YOU FOR VBS!
Thank you to everyone who helped make waves with our children as they all discovered they are all Shipwrecked Rescued by Jesus during our 2018 VBS.  This year over 125 children participated in Vacation Bible School.  Our VBS children learned about how precious water can be and about those who don't have clean, healthy water. They also raised $930, filling a big water bottle, to help our partner Water 2 Thrive dig a well in Africa so other children can have clean, healthy water. Thank you to all the young people who participated and offered their gifts of love!

SCHOOL KITS FOR LWR
It’s that time of year...school supplies are on sale and we can help Lutheran World Relief provide these much needed supplies to some of the poorest areas on earth. Pick up a list of needed supplies and bring them to the collection basket in the Narthex. We were able to buy every item on the list at Walmart for only $7.50 total. Helping children get an education bridges the gap, lifting families out of poverty and opening paths to a better future for the world.
GOD'S WORK. OUR HANDS.
Sunday, September 9
Mark your calendars for Sunday September 9th and sign up to fill 10,000+ meal packages in this year’s Rise Against Hunger project. Last year we had 65 volunteers, free hairnets and a great playlist for “music to pack meals by”....this year we’ll be in the Fellowship Hall...more space, more fun. Last year’s 10,000+ meals went to feed poor school children in Nicaragua....who knows where God will use our food packages for this year’s efforts? Join us and Be God’s Hands!

We were seeing stars in July at our annual Patriotic Parade! A record number of participants from our community joined our teachers and children in celebrating the 4th of July. We thank Emily Fairman for singing our National Anthem, and all the many folks who made the day special! Families and church members enjoyed a hot dog lunch, and left full of pride for the USA!!!
