Dear TCWV Members, Sponsors, Partners, and Friends,
As we welcome August, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible momentum we continue to build together. July was an inspiring month as TCWV played a leadership role in our community's America 250 celebration. Our members proudly served on the America 250 Committee and helped lead the March Through American History Parade, honoring our nation's past while celebrating the service and sacrifices of those who have defended our freedoms. These events, along with our many volunteer activities, strengthened the connections that make Tri-County Women Veterans such a special organization.

Everything we accomplish is possible because of you—our dedicated members, generous sponsors, valued community partners, and loyal friends. Your support enables us to expand programs, provide meaningful opportunities for women veterans to connect and serve, and ensure they receive the recognition and appreciation they have earned.

I am continually inspired by the many individuals who give their time, talents, and resources to our mission. Whether you volunteer, attend an event, sponsor a program, or simply help spread the word about TCWV, you are making a difference. Together, we are building a stronger community where no woman veteran stands alone.

August offers many opportunities to connect, serve, and support one another. We invite you to join us for our Dine to Donate Fundraiser at Havana Country Club on August 4, an evening of great food, fellowship, and community support.
As part of our commitment to Civic Engagement, TCWV has adopted a polling precinct for the Primary Election on August 18. Our volunteers will be staffing the polling location at Pimlico Recreation Center, providing another opportunity for our members to serve the community while supporting the democratic process.
We are also proud to continue expanding programs that support the health and well-being of women veterans. On August 25, we will hold our second Battle Buddies – Cancer Survivors Group meeting, offering a safe and supportive environment where women veterans impacted by cancer can connect, encourage one another, and find strength in shared experiences.

This month also brings several meaningful military and veteran observances, including the U.S. Coast Guard Birthday, Purple Heart Day, National Navajo Code Talkers Day, National Airborne Day, and Women's Equality Day. These occasions remind us of the courage, sacrifice, and lasting contributions of those who have served our nation and inspire us to preserve the legacy of all veterans—especially the women who have proudly worn the uniform.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for being an important part of the TCWV family.
Together, we continue to honor the past, serve the present, and inspire the future.
Betsy
