WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT

 TRI-COUNTY WOMEN VETERANS

From the President

NEWS YOU CAN USE

Greetings, TCWV Sisters, Ambassadors, and Supporters!

As we welcome the month of September, we are reminded of the many ways service, sacrifice, and dedication continue to shape our nation and our communities.

We begin the month by recognizing Labor Day, honoring the contributions of workers across our country—including the many veterans who continue their commitment to service through their careers, families, and communities.

September also brings several important days of remembrance. On September 11, Patriot Day, we pause to remember those who lost their lives and honor the courage and service that followed. On September 18, National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we renew our commitment to remembering those who were prisoners of war and those who remain missing. On September 27, Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day, we honor the families who have endured the profound loss of a loved one who gave their life in service to our nation.

As women veterans, these observances hold special meaning. They remind us of the strength of our military family, the sacrifices made by those who served before us, and the responsibility we share to remember, honor, serve, and support one another.

I am truly grateful for each of you and for the dedication, friendship, and spirit of service you bring to TCWV. Because of your generosity and commitment, TCWV was able to donate $305, a gift card, and between $1,500 and $1,800 in in-kind donations to the Sumter Public School Supply Drive.

I also extend my heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors, as well as the family and friends who continually support, encourage, and stand beside us. Your support makes a difference and helps us continue our mission.

May this September be filled with meaningful connections, opportunities to serve, and moments that remind us why our sisterhood is so important and our families and friends are such a vital part of our journey.

With gratitude and continued service,

Betsy

Flight Of Recognition

Invest in Those Who Served

The Tri-County Women Veterans Flight of Recognition is planned for mid-October 2028, within the October 16–20 timeframe —a historic three-day, two-night journey honoring 150 TCWV women veterans of all ages for their courage, sacrifice, and service to our nation.

This is more than a trip. It is a tribute to women who answered the call to serve, an opportunity to recognize their contributions, and a powerful reminder that their service matters.

Through this journey,TCWVs will create lasting memories, strengthen connections, and ensure these women know that their communities are grateful for the freedoms they helped protect.

Your support can make this journey possible.

Sponsorships and donations will help provide women veterans with an experience they have earned through their service. By becoming a sponsor, you and/or your organization will stand alongside these remarkable women and demonstrate a commitment to honoring them for their service.

Help us honor their past, celebrate their present, and inspire their future.

Interested in sponsoring this historic journey, making a donation, or having a Tri-County Women Veterans member speak to you or your organization?

Contact Sue Roper at usnodu@aol.com.

Even if you don't volunteer, please come to Belle Glade and Socialize with us! All are welcome. We want to get to know you.
