ADVOCACY UPDATES
The Government of Alberta is asking municipalities to complete a brief survey on local approaches to the public consumption of cannabis. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and is open until December 30.

Community organizations can apply for up to $25,000 through Alberta’s new Multiculturalism, Indigenous and Inclusion Grant Program. The first intake for applications closes on January 7, and the second intake is due by March 1.

Did you know that municipalities are eligible to purchase multiple types of electric vehicles? Eligible vehicles include electric ice resurfacers, garbage trucks, ATVs, parkade sweepers, golf carts, passenger vehicles and more. The Municipal Energy Champions program supports municipalities by providing free one-on-one support to a staff member looking to improve municipal operations through energy management. Apply for the Municipal Energy Champions Program by December 20, 2019.
