Communities ChooseWell, Alberta Health Services, and the Alberta Policy Coalition for Chronic Disease Prevention are excited to announce the release of the Healthy Eating in Recreation Settings (HERS) eCourse! As a member of a municipal council or a municipal staffer, you can use the guidance, ideas and sample templates in the HERS eCourse to help align recreation facility procedures and policies with Goal 4 Supporting Environments in the framework. New funding from FCM for energy improvements in affordable housing

New! The Federation of Canadian Municipalities is offering funding to retrofit existing units or build new affordable housing with higher energy performance. Learn more.

The Alberta Emerald Awards has shortlisted AUMA and RMA for the Community Group or Not-For-Profit Association category for their collaborative Municipal Climate Change Action Centre. This nomination recognizes that cooperation is the best way to encourage energy efficiency, clean energy, and climate change projects.
