AURP announces the launch of its Regional Partnership Development Program: Scholarship Grant. This new program (spearheaded by Dan Duncan, AURP Immediate Past President; Chair of AURP's Member/Sponsor Committee; and Executive Director of the Nebraska Innovation Campus) aims to support our members in developing relationships, within their regions, with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) that could lead to significant partnerships. Via this program, AURP will make scholarships available to applying members to bring potential HBCU and MSI partners to AURP events and meetings.
AURP announces the launch of a collaboration with the State Science & Technology Institute (SSTI) to join in implementing components of a new U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant that aims to accelerate technology-based economic development (TBED) across the country. Under EDA’s recently announced award to form a TBED Community of Practice, AURP will collaborate with SSTI over a four-year period in developing practical education and training content – including online toolkits, interactive webinars and white papers – on planning, building or expanding research parks, innovation districts or regional collaborations. Read more.
